You can check the arithmetic for WPrice (High + Low + Close) / 3, only the bottom one was the problem yesterday. It’s fine now.
Personally, I didn’t want to be long on xFC yesterday, so was happy to get out close to the open. Today’s signal is also very close to xFF. Either way is a buy signal. Other than the obvious fact that something nasty will happen sooner or later, there’s no special reason not to take either.
I’m looking at 3 sector portfolios of 20 stocks each. They are Industrials, Health Care, and Semiconductors. Meant to put more details in my Semiconductors article yesterday.
Pretty good strategy numbers for the last 33 trading days. Only 3 had positive returns in flat periods, and QRVO is the only one it made much of a difference.
Note how the CO and HLd numbers favor the guys making the money.
Similar results, if we accept special circumstances for FDX and UPS. The tables are all 13em, trend following hasn’t been active during the period.
